The creation of StoneWest took place through the vision of its founders, Paul Clifton and Jason Wolfswinkel, during the development stages of the exclusive, private golf community Stone Canyon.  During its initial phases Stone Canyon featured only custom home lots of mostly acre size.  This required each lot purchaser who wished to build a residence to undergo a drawn out process of architectural creation, Stone Canyon design and review, Oro Valley architectural and engineering review, site preparation, and finally a lengthy construction.  Typically this process took most Stone Canyon residents between 2 – 2 1/2 years.

Seeing the need for a more efficient process while still cultivating the sophistication required by this upscale clientele, Paul and Jason collaborated with the Stone Canyon developer and created several semi-custom floor plans for construction in a 42 lot section of Stone Canyon called Stonegate.  Due to the complexity and intricacy of the design and construction requirements, Paul and Jason knew this project would best be accomplished with the control only established with one’s own construction company.  This was the birth of StoneWest! 

Since its inception StoneWest has gone on to complete many thousands of square feet of residential and commercial structures.  These projects have ranged greatly in size, price, finishes, time lines, and complexity.  Throughout all of these undertakings the commitment to quality and customer satisfaction remains foremost among priorities for the owners.  Themselves both residents of the Rancho Vistoso area, Paul and Jason insist upon each staff member and construction project living up to their exceedingly high standards of quality.
